April 2017 - Conferences and Speaking Hope
Hello friends,
In Him, our hearts do rejoice! We have so much to be thankful for and to anticipate for the future. Here are key items and updates for thanksgiving and praise.
In March, I attended the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) annual conference in Orlando. NRB was a very fruitful time and filled with making many connections with key organizations that are doing amazing ministry to women around the world.
After NRB, I flew to Honduras to speak at a women's leadership conference. I spoke to over 150 women leaders and followed up with specific individuals to cast a vision for TWR Women of Hope in the country. Pray that relationships will grow and that God’s Spirit would lead in this new opportunity. The trip was brief, but the time was valuable. Thank you for your prayers; they mean much to our global teams and me.
March 8, International Women’s Day, we prayed for women to be bold for change and to know that the Creator treasures them. We had three one-hour-long video prayer gatherings and team members from all over the world joined. It was a time to unite and build our global team. At the end of the prayer time, our teams didn’t want to leave! It was rewarding to connect minds and hearts through prayer. Some team members said the event was, “historical,” “wonderful,” and, “it felt like a little heaven coming to earth.” Countries represented on the global video call were:
- Africa: South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire
- Americas: Brazil, Canada, USA
- Asia: Vietnam, South Korea, India, Philippines
- Europe: Austria, Romania
We have started planning for our next global video call at the end of October to celebrate TWR Women of Hope’s 20th anniversary. We hope that you can join us! Keep an eye out for more information as the time comes closer.
March 20 – 25 was the European Partners Conference to network with TWR partners for North Africa, Middle East, and Europe. It was so encouraging and inspiring to hear how God is bringing hope and healing in Jesus through media to people around the world.
April 3 – 9, we were in Dallas attending the Christian Leadership Alliance’s (CLA) 2017 Outcomes Conference. I had the wonderful opportunity to lead a workshop on what it means to be ready when God calls you to move now! Also at the conference, we had a public launch of our TWR Women of Hope video in front of 250 Christian women leaders during the women’s luncheon featuring Kay Arthur. It was fantastic!
Later in the week, we held a Speaking Hope to Women event hosted by one of our key leaders in Dallas. Eighteen women of faith and influence attended to hear more about TWR Women of Hope and learn about the opportunities for future support and involvement. Thank you to the friends who attended the event, and we look forward to more events to communicate what God is doing in the hearts of women around the world and across generations.
We have much to be thankful for and still much to do! I am grateful to know that we are in this HOPE endeavor together! May we be bold and courageous as we walk humbly with God.
