Education + Training for Women and Girls

Dear Friends,

One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Proverbs 9:10:

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

This verse gives me great hope when I think about the many women and girls around the world who are not given the opportunity to receive an education. TWR Women of Hope has the chance to share the hope we have in Jesus as we bring the Word of God to give women a true understanding that God sees them as created in his image with a real purpose and plan for life. Many compelling benefits are related to a girl's education, and we need to continue to pray for God to open doors so more girls will have the freedom and access to go to school.

Some benefits are:

Reduced child and maternal mortality.
Improved child nutrition and health.
Lower birth rates.
Improved economic productivity and growth.
The protection of girls from HIV/AIDS, abuse and exploitation.

God's mission for us is to show love, bring hope, and give truth to women and girls. He sees and hears our voices as we pray for our sisters around the world to first know the God who loves them and has created them in his image. May we pray that we all grow in the knowledge of who God is so we can have a greater understanding of his love and mercy in our lives. And way we pray this month that more women and girls will have the opportunity to be educated, benefiting not only themselves but also their health, families, communities, and countries for Christ.

Please continue to pray as we unite our hearts and offer ourselves to the Lord to learn and grow from the truths that are found in the Bible. May we never forget that there is more to be done to help our girls and women know God's truth as well as his power to provide freedom and access to education.
