April 2016 - Praying for Women in the Caribbean
Dear friends,
This February, God invited me to join you in sharing Jesus Christ’s amazing hope for women through Project Hannah. As the new global ministry director, I am thrilled to receive the task of caring for and leading Project Hannah into the future. With thanks for you, Marli Spieker, and for the hundreds of global staff and volunteers, I celebrate the solid foundation upon which we can build.
I want to begin our journey by saying “thank you” for your prayers over the many years with Project Hannah and for using the prayer calendars as your guide. You are a part of a prayer force in 125 countries. Together, we are putting our prayers into action through the 69 languages of radio ministry and through strategic outreach in local communities, and we are faithfully communicating the needs of women worldwide. God is doing a great work, and I’m eager to see what He has for us in the future.
This month we lift up our sisters in the Caribbean. Let us pray for their hearts to be touched and their lives to be healed in Jesus. May they experience His beauty inside their hearts, much as they see and enjoy His beauty surrounding them in His creation.
Your earnest prayers keep us attached to the Vine that sustains us every step of the way. Without your prayers we could not accomplish the work that He has set before us. As we continue to pray, let our hearts rejoice that He hears our prayers. He chooses the brokenhearted. He forgives when we confess. He provides hope and healing for all eternity through His Son, Jesus (Psalm 32:21; Psalm 34:17; 1 John 1:9; John 3:16 and 15:5).
I am forever grateful to you and your commitment to praying for women all over the world. I know that God sees our women and He hears their cries. May we continue to stand in the gap for our sisters as we bring hope to women worldwide in the person of Jesus.
In Him our hearts rejoice,
