Give Praise and Thanks

For 21 years TWR Women of Hope has confronted the painful and traumatic circumstances that many women face daily. Cultures, families, and religions around the world marginalize women by ascribing little worth to them. Domestic violence, forced marriages, illiteracy, polygamy, and lack of health care cause an unending cycle of poverty. The women suffering amid the horrible circumstances of a sinful world need to know that God sees them and cares. Psalms 34:18 declares, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

We thank God that he allows us to be a part of what he is doing. The message is clear: Christ has come in great compassion and love to minister healing and hope to those who are broken and abused. What a wonderful message to proclaim to women who desperately need a savior!

We give praise to God that as women share their own burdens and pray for the burdens of others, they experience peace. As they sit quietly and listen to the Word of God proclaimed over the radio or media player, they discover truth. As they receive practical help through the skills training, they gain independence. As they visit and encourage prisoners, the sick, and the lonely, God is glorified. And as women meet Jesus, they experience the unconditional love of Christ.

The TWR Women of Hope audio programs (Women of Hope, Hidden Treasures, Hope Has a Name, and Healing Voice) provide practical and spiritual teaching. More than 62,000 intercessors in 120 countries pray the same prayer requests in 100 languages. As we pray, God changes our attitudes and leads us to reach out to those who are isolated or rejected by society.
