Hope for the Horn of Africa
Bring Christ's hope to the Horn of Africa, where persecution and poverty collide, and the need for the gospel has never been greater.
The Horn of Africa includes the countries of Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia, and some wider definitions also include Kenya, Sudan, South Sudan, and Uganda. Many unreached people groups live in this region, and ministry among them is difficult.
Somalia, for example, ranks second highest out of 50 countries on the 2026 Open Doors World Watch List of countries with the most persecution of Christians. Sudan ranks fourth highest, and Eritrea ranks fifth. There is extreme poverty with no relief in sight amid drought and food shortages. TWR broadcasts across the Horn of Africa in multiple languages, and our production teams produce the programs with joy under very difficult circumstances.
