Africa Eswatini

The main electricity supplier in South Africa has been implementing rolling power cuts, called load shedding, to various areas of the country. This is due to a lack of infrastructure to handle the local demand.

The load shedding in South Africa has been growing steadily, and it can last for up to eight hours a day. Since this supplier also provides electricity to TWR’s office and staff houses in neighboring Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), we would like to prepare for the possibility of load shedding in the future by installing solar power infrastructure at our Eswatini office, missionary homes, and transmitter site.

TWR has implemented solar-power systems at several locations around the world with positive results and money saved. This will create a reliable source of electricity and steward our ministry funds as efficiently as possible.
