Intern Support Matching Project

Interns are a vital part of TWR's ongoing work and our future, but it is increasingly difficult for interns to raise support to fulfill these roles. This new matching project will allow donors to participate in funding interns who are having difficulty raising their support.

The average amount raised by a summer intern ranges from $6,000 to $8,000, depending on the location of service. A college student with few contacts often has great difficulty raising the support, which results in discouragement or their leaving TWR to take a paid internship elsewhere.

Donations to this project will be used to provide a match to struggling interns. For every dollar they raise in support, TWR will match it using these funds. Rather than being used for all interns, it will provide a strategic boost to those deemed by the Human Resources team to need extra help and encouragement.
